The Arizona Republic’s Veterans Voice columnist Art Sloane will be joining us on The Nonprofit Journal every last Monday of the month.
Art has been a strong voice for veterans, ensuring they get the benefits they have earned. He also offers many resources for veterans and their families–and has helped them in so many other areas. He is also active in helping homeless veterans through the organization Arizona StandDown.
The Arizona StandDown is the state’s largest, outreach event for homeless veterans and relies upon contributions from the public to support over thousands of veterans to gain access to shelter, services, and healthcare.
Art served in the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard for 14 years, and served 26 years in the Coast Guard Reserves. He is also a retired Master Chief Storekeeper.
During The Nonprofit Journal radio show, Art will be sharing resources and answering questions live. Tune in, every last Monday of the month, 1-2 p.m. MST.
