Carolyn Sechler co-hosts The Nonprofit Journal Live with Dee Suomala radio show and welcomes Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) Senior Director of Philanthropic Services Kimberly Kur.
ACF works to improve the quality of life in Arizona by promoting and facilitating effective philanthropy. The organization and its statewide affiliates harness the collective generosity of thousands of Arizonans, steward their gifts with an eye toward permanence and growth, and from the investment earnings on the endowment, award millions of dollars in grants and scholarships every year. Funding is awarded in the following focus areas: quality education, health innovations, arts and culture, environment and sustainability, and community development and improvement. ACF has awarded more than $500 million in grants and scholarships since 1978.
Kur oversees ACF’s statewide affiliate system as well as ACF’s Center for Planned Giving. She works closely with donors, prospects and professional advisors to facilitate lifetime and planned charitable giving.
